Default Oregon Snow

All those nice snow pictures inspired me to head for the hills. The Cascades actually. This time of year there's plenty of snow up there but even in mid summer there's snow on the tallest peaks.

Some nice "hills" to be close enough for short trips to visit! That snow covered peak looks like one of the mountains the guys in the Warren Miller films get flown up to ski down.

One thing nice about living where I do is it's an hour drive west to the ocean and an hour east to the mountains. Plenty of photo fodder.

really nice shots of Cascades, I like the icicle and the last shot the best but also really enjoy the second shot with the clouds parting to show the mountain beyond. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Oregon is a beautiful State but when FredS posts photos from Calgary it's hard to compete.

Default My girlfriend beats me

At least when it comes to photography. Particularly with composition.

She uses the Oly Stylus XZ-2 which does a fine job. Not to mention it looks like she captured a photo of Sasquatch in that last one.

Nice pictures.
Mt Jefferson I am guessing, but where was the first picture taken from?
We sure need a lot more snow here.
I live in the Portland area and usually take my picture taking around Mt Hood.
