Default Bluebonnet Season is here

And today was a great day to go. Overcast and just cool enough there were not a lot of people yet. Peak time is still a week or two away so they'll only get better, but the ambient light could not have been better for the fresh greens and blues out there today.

E-M1 and 12-40. The new -0- delay anti-shock setting with electronic first curtain release works really well. It's my new default setting.

Wow! That is beautiful. I like how they reach the horizon in the first photo.

Hi Greg- Where can I find the setting for the new -0- delay anti-shock feature?

I made the firmware update. You're right about it taking longer then last time. I started getting nervous.

Anti-shock setting in the E-cogs menu. Prior to now, anti-shock involved a delay of some use-set length in the shutter going off on the release. Now, you can set the delay to zero, meaning it works just like a normal, non anti-shock release, but the shutter does not have to first close, then re-open, eliminating a lot of the vibrations that can induce image blurring, especially at lower shutter speeds.

I always look forward to Greg's and Bob's spring shots of the Bluebonnets. Good job Greg. Looking forward to more, and also from Bob.
