Default Warmth in Numbers

I know I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night sweating from a nightmare of these guys cornering me on a pier...

And this guy won a stare-down later after I almost stepped on him as I was looking up while walking..

Otherwise......it was a beautiful morning in the garden..

I went to my grandson's baseball game, the wind was BIG and from your first here I am pretty certain I was in the right place, DANG!

IIRC you saw snakes the last time there......

Lovely, lovely stuff, Greg. I've said it before (in some fashion or another) but your photos have a rare quality the belies the size of the m43 sensor. Well done.

I believe they are water snakes. No triangular-shaped head typical of piosonous pit-vipers like a water moccasin or rattlers. Still would not want one biting me, but a bite from a water snake will not kill you.

Clark Gardens, just outside Weatherford, Texas is where I was.

Wisteria in blossom by the waterfall nice shot. That you venture about taking these wonderful images while having to be on the lookout for the snakes -- I guess I can deal with our winters
