Default I updated my E-M1 and tried the 50-200

Today I updated my E-M1 to FW v1.4. AF is noticeably better for my FT lenses, I tried it with the 14-54, 50-200 & 70-300.... all are faster to AF. I've not yet used C-AF but that too is faster; stated by Olympus and I trust Olympus.

V1.4 too adds some features for wifi remote control, I will need to get the tripod out of the closet and try the wifi feature again, it has been a while. I will need to download and install the new Olympus app from APPLE first.

So, I went to my favorite place near the house, the Nature Preserve with the 70-300 and 50-200 both were very fun to use with the new update.

I found some 50-200 subjects while testing the FW update.....

S-W-E-E-T

The 50-200 is one sharp optic, and it's even better today using these new sensors. The design in that first image just makes you want to stare at it. I cannot remember the name of the critter in image #4, but that's about as sharp as I've seen it captured. They're all nailed in the sharpness department.

Thanks guys, I don't now know which but for some of these I had digi-X2 turned on, unlike CS which includes it in EXIF, the dumb software I use does not.

I reckon it is good that looking at the image file one can not tell, Earl's head shot, the plummage photos, the 'turtles' and the Leafy Footed Bug (Greg, that is it's true-bug name) are digi-X2, I'm pretty certain.

The flowers are straight 50-200.

This is fun.........

Very nice Bob.
Nice for me too when I get the 43 to m43 converter in the mail, as I have a ZD 50-200mm to use as well on the E-M1.

Just read your post with the ZD 35mm Macro images.
I have that lens too, so now I'm going to be loosing sleep waiting for the postman to hurray up
