Default E-M1 and Small Town Fireworks

These were shot in manual mode between f/9 and f/22 and 4 to 15 seconds. All at ISO 200 using the M. Zuiko 12-40.

Hope you all had a happy Forth of July.

Very nice!

I spent all day yesterday.....literally.....setting a new computer system up for my girlfriend.

Setting up a new computer for someone with slow internet access is no fun job. I'd rather have been shooting fireworks, but wound up seeing a few as I drove home as fast as I could to get off the roads before the show finished.

Thanks Guys. Thinking about going to another show tonight in a town about 20-30 minutes from here. Even though it's a rather small town, with a name like Independence, Oregon you can imagine they go all out.

I just looked again at these..... they are much better than I first said.

The 'palm tree' affects are outstanding; especially those showing the tree trunks. Amazing color, clarity and timing, really good fireworks photography.

Thanks Bob. Can't say I didn't use a little HSL and sharpening. I've tried to time them with limited success. Timing is mostly a matter of depressing the shutter as soon as the previous photo is written. There are plenty of misses in the set. I'm just glad that film is cheap.

I agree with Bob about the high quality and "palm tree" effects.
