It really is amazing. 1/8000 of a second. I'm not even sure how that is mechanically possible. And to think in that fraction of a blink of an eye enough light, traveling at 186,000 miles p/s, is absorbed by the sensor to create an image.

And it's all just barely enough to capture how fast that little bird is moving all the time . . .

I still can't get over a sensor capturing light at 1/6400 or even the 1/8000
