Default ....this'll get ya'wanting the f/2.8 40-150

QUOTE from the link ..... If you wnat to see what kind of pictures you can take with the new Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO zoom than check the images posted by Frank Rückert on Pen3.de. Really great images!

This is a direct link to the photos => http://tinyurl.com/lrf6wrq The baboon at 1700mm is obviously done @ 170mm.

AND! he keeps adding photos to the link SO C'MON BACK TO SEE WHAT IMAGES MIGHT BE NEW

Yep, I will be getting the 40-150 / 1.4 Konverter combo... already had decided; now the test photos coming out are sealing that.

I talked with Gil at Arlington Camera Monday last when I left my E-M1 for warranty repair of the disconnected strap lug..

Greg, Gil would not move me up on the list ahead of you, I offered him lunch (a burger at Tommy's) but no way, 'bottom' of the list and he would not tell me how many are on the list.

Oh well, Bonnie's ok with it so we no longer talk about it, wheeew! for that.

DANG! there is some Deja Vous OR is it VooDoo going on about this !!!!!!

My version of that same butterfly this past summer (E-M1 & Oly ZD 50-200)

...and mine of this one

BTW .... I have that hat too

I placed my orders (lens and converter) at a local camera shop a couple weekends ago. After seeing these I'm glad I did.

Wow, the Baboon and the Snowy Owl are just amazing.

I am very disappointed with you Bob because post like this cost me a lot of money. :-)

Have a great weekend.

19 inches close focusing for the entire zoom range is quite impressive. You almost don't need extension tubes, but then again just think how close you'll be able to go with them.

I just hope buying that lens turns me into as good a photographer as that guy.

Well, for me it will obviously help ... considering my images above vs his, the difference is in the lenses used, no doubt.

I think it will help as well. There is the old argument that gear doesn't make the photographer but I'm not willing to stick with my Polaroid swinger either.

Scott Kelby put it like this:

"This is one that that, boy, you’re gonna hear people get cranked about this, but by gosh, we talk about it privately, and we hear other people talk about it in small groups, but somebody’s gotta talk about it. I know that you’ve heard again and again and again on the web – someone’s gonna type this as soon as I say it – “It’s not about the camera. It’s not about the equipment.” You know what it is? Here’s the truth. Sometimes, it is about the equipment. Sometimes it is, and nobody wants to say that, because everyone wants to be camera-politically correct… The reality of it is, sometimes it is. If you want a certain look, sometimes you have to buy stuff."
