Default Big backlog of photos.

I have about 5 or 6 weeks of photos backing up on my hard drive, as I was trying to make as much as I could of the good part of Fall at some of my favorite little areas within a short distance of my house. I thought I should maybe share at least a few before Fall turned into Winter.

Just a few for now--this is a state forest near my parents house. This was near the end of the leaves, and this is no world-class scenic area or anything; but there's a pretty nice overlook there.

Of course like what happened to me a lot this month, the rains came in very soon after I arrived, cutting my minitrip short.

Beautiful stuff Sammy. The color reminds me of my 1st 25 years in Michigan. I miss it but I don't miss the winters. Love the layered fog shot.

Thanks. That's my favorite of these too--though I didn't think so at the time because I got caught in the deluge about five minutes after hitting the shutter

The rest are all right but kind of cliche. I'm also kind of torn on how to process these fall leaves, where the line between "pretty" and "gaudy" lies on the sliders.

As far as fall colors go I like to push it and would probably punch all the above with the exception of the forth one. It's pretty tasty as is.

I can understand the reason for the backlog with colors like that. Beautiful country.

Beautiful set Sammy, I love the colors and shades.

In Long Island we don't have too much colors on our tress and the only way to capture this season is traveling to Pennsylvania,New Jersey or upstate New York (Vermont), Fall is almost done and I didn't have a chance to do some pictures :-(

Thanks for the advice--I probably err on the side of caution so it sounds like I'll go a little more whenever I get around to doing some more of these.

Yeah, it's fantastic these weeks in October. Of course now we're back to damp ugly grey for months on end, oh well.

thanks Bob! Didn't get out for many wide landscapes, but I still have some nice ones I want to get finished and I'll try to punch the colors more.

Thanks Marcelo. I basically missed the Fall last year, and this year made a point to take many afternoons of going out to the parks around here and shooting. The weather got me a few times but that's okay.
