Default Ah, Yes, This Is More Like It...

Had the 40-150mm f2.8 since Monday and not a chance to use it until today, and the weather was just a bit cool and overcast but that wasn't going to stop me..

Did I mention how close this lens can focus? Well, pretty freakin' close..

From a little further back, you can still do a decent job of separating the background from the main subject..

Seems every bit as sharp as the 12-40mm f2.8 which means, from 12-150mm, I've got a pretty darn good pair of lenses right now.

looks very nice, I especially like the close up compositions, the one with the leaf on the pine bough being my favorite of the bunch, the color rendering is ideal and the background smooth.

I likewise haven't had a chance to get out and shoot anything, busy season and the weather has been crap.

All I can say is "WOW"! Haven't had a chance to mount mine but I'm happy just seeing the possibilities. You do it justice Greg.

PS. In the second shot it looks like the little girl blew your cover. ;-)

Hi Greg - Are these raw files that you processed and output as jpegs, processed jpegs or ooc jpegs?

Raw files, run through Photoshop CC. I opened a couple up in DXO 10, which has not yet profiled the 40-150/2.8 with any camera so you get uncorrected files, and it looks like this lens will need little correcting when they do finally get around to it.

You were taking a bit of a risk with the first two, you can clearly see you where being observed with suspicion, (What's that Paedophile with the camera upto)

Nice and sharp though, this lens is on my want list as well, but only after I win the lottery
