Default using the remote control app the other day . . .

Just wanted to give it a shot.

Now this image is what saved to my phone, haven't looked too closely to see if it's a worse quality than what saved to my camera. Basically just saved it to my phone and uploaded it from there . . .

This was with the 45mm. The birdfeeder was hung on the window, and I was shooting through the window glass a few inches from it.

Now, imagine using that setup with the upcoming 8mm f1.8 fisheye...

Of course, the manual focus Rokinon should work well too.

Yeah, Greg. A fisheye shot from there would be great.

It would let you get closer too. I was at near the minimum focus distance for the lens.

If anyone wants to try this, keep in mind that (at least for me) there is a delay between the time you ask it to take the shot and the time it triggers on the camera. I'm assuming it's because of the wifi, but I got a lot of shots of either nothing or bird rear-ends--because they were very fast to come in, grab and go. Eventually I got smart and set the camera to manual focus, putting the focus point to near wher I figured the shot would be, and trying to anticipate a little better. That's a point for one of the wider lenses too as the depth of field would be better.
