Default ....40-150 + 16mm extension tube

Yesterday was so much fun with the 40-150 + MC14 I had to try the super close up rig with the 16mm extension tube. Close distance focusing was 10-18 inches, subject to front of lens.

It was a pretty good outing to shoot winter leftovers.

The magnification is definitely impressive, that #6 shot especially. Being able to get that close definitely opens up a whole other set of subject possibilities this time of the year when it can be hard finding something on a larger scale.

Those are all top notch images. Spot-on focus, contrast, detail and color. Excellent work, Bob.

A very nice set of images Bob, the 1.4 doesn't seem to degrade the quality at all which is great news for those who are thinking about adding this combination to their bag, bet you can't wait for Springtime.

Fantastic set Bob, amazing the amount of detail on the pictures and the bokeh is creamy and beautiful.

The set up you are using is perfect for macro shots.
