Default A bridge over (frozen) water . . .

Spent the last several weeks researching, finding sales, and building my new PC. A few snags still, but finally got around to kicking the tires on a little lightroom.

Some shots from a few weeks ago, when it was still record-cold down on the frozen Ohio River.

Everything shot with the 20mm! It was a minimalist kind of month.

Thanks sir. That's actually my favorite of the set too, which was coincidentally the first one I took out of these.

That should teach me to quit while I'm ahead.

Ha, thanks. I have to admit I like it a lot more NOW, when it's a few weeks in the rear view mirror. The weather isn't quite as photogenic right now, but it's definitely more pleasant (was in the 60s yesterday).

It was. Man, it was awful, and kind of unprecedented. We had colder temperatures last Winter, but not for such a sustained period of time. The Ohio almost never gets that much solid ice with how much barge traffic is normally on it, but for a while there none could even get through.

Now it's all melted--but I guess downriver places like Cincinnati are going to be getting our melt and might be in for a rough time for a few days.

Very nice set Sammy, it really shows the effect of the lower temperauters.

Hard to pick my favorite but I really like the 3 last shots.

Thank you for posting.

These are really nice. Our rivers are still frozen here. I haven't had any time to take some nice photos though. I'll be in Pittsburgh for two weeks this spring. Hopefully I can get around the city and take some shots. It has been while.
