Default Figuring Out Some Things About The 7-14mm f2.8 Zuiko

1. Biggest lesson learned.....don't use it unless I really need to. It can be "too much" if the subject isn't right. The 12-40mm f2.8 is great for most wide shots, until it gets to the point 12mm won't cut it.

2. Do not use IBIS with this lens. It seems to keep the sharpness much more consistent into the corners when you use this lens with stabilization turned off.

3. Trust the levels, and keep it level in both planes most of the time. It works really well when you do all of these things..

Sun smack dab in the frame.....not bad at all..

When you do point it up, make sure the subject is close enough and fills most, if not all of the frame..

Fantastic shots and great job keeping the levels on both planes.

Nice shots, Greg. Interesting observation about the IBIS with that lens. Why do you think is the reason for that?

Hi Steven. I keep trying subjects, both with and without IS on to see if I keep seeing the same thing and there are times where I cannot tell a lick of difference between the on and off file.
