Default ....fall is a beautiful time in Arlington, TX USA

I just got word that one of my fall season photos from a couple years ago has been published as the cover for our city magazine.

Hi, Bob. Congratulations.

Off topic, but I had to mention that your automotive photos are some of the best I've ever seen and I've spent a lifetime as a professional in motorsports.

I've owned, built or driven just about everything with wheels on it from the early 60's on.

I don't pay compliments lightly. You have a talent very few have.

....thanks ever so much to all you for the kind remarks, I very much appreciate what you've said.

The magazine, a year ago, did a 4-page spread of my images for fall foliage in our Arlington parks that included this photo. This photo is one of a very few I have printed 8x10, matted to 11x14 and it hangs in our study where I seem to spend too much, but enjoyable, time.

AND Les, your words about my car photography has me gushing with pride, thank you for that.

I had a stroke Oct 27, 2014 and have not been able to do my photography of the cars at the same perspectives I have always done them. To do the angles I love requires some dexterity I no longer have; let alone the leg strength to get up from the extremely low to ground level angles I like.

So, it has been quite a slow summer for the cars at the every Friday night show. Hopefully I will get back to doing some car photography, I've not given up that I will be able to work something out.

Les, here is a link => http://tinyurl.com/q9njzkm to a set of photos, engines only, of engines in the cars regularly seen at the Friday night show.

I hope you might enjoy seeing.

That's pretty great boB.

Just curious, how does the color/etc. on the magazine cover compare to the original on screen and in your prints? I've seen some that I'm guessing haven't done the original photo justice.

______________

I've not yet seen the actual magazine; the image shown is a screen print of an iPhone photo from Facebook .... ain't very pretty.

In the past the magazine has done an excellent reproduction of my photos and I expect this cover will be quite good.
