Default More Stanley Park

Finally getting around to posting these shots from our visit to Vancouver at end of October. I did not capture as good a shot of Siwash Rock like Marcelo, but there are more sights along the 9km of seawall and the many trails in the interior.

Donít know if this tree has a name, but to me it is the Pinocchio Tree.

Along the seawall walk, near Brockton Point you will find these totem poles. This first one is the Coast Salish Gateway

A different view of the Lions Gate Bridge. This is Vancouverís version of the Golden Gate Bridge

Taking a wander through the interior you will come across some of the remains of the old growth. Here new growth is taking root in an old stumpÖ

And even though this was the end of October, you could still find rhododendrons in full bloom

This is a wonderful park and hats off to the city fathers who set this land aside for future generations to enjoy, it is quite the jewel.

Cheers

very nice pictures Kula,

Looks like we visited Vancouver the same month

I like the pictures specially 2 and 4, those totems are so beautiful.

Stanley Park is a beautiful place, I could spend the entire day there taking pictures.

Thank you for posting.

Marcelo

Nice shots of the totems but my fave is the overhead bridge shot.
