Default 40-150 f/2.8 PRO + MC-14

I will find many other things to buy with my $2700 rather than the Oly 300 f/4 lens.

For 300mm reach I have the ZD 70-300 which for me works very well.

I do have the 40-150 f/2.8 PRO lens and the MC-14; this combination on the E-M1 is unbeatable for the photography I do. I also have a ZD 50-200 (non SWD) and EC-20 to take it to 100-400 which also works super well.

So, I am not wanting either the new Panasonic or Oly 300 lenses which gives me opportunity to buy other stuff..... which can be fun like maybe a 12-40 PRO lens.

I'm looking at getting the Panasonic 100-400 as long as it's sharp at the long end. For me I do want something longer than my 70-300. The Olympus 300 f4 Pro is just to expensive and I want the versatility of the zoom this time (had telephoto primes with my Canon gear)
By the way Bob excellent series of shots.

Very nice shots Bob. My fave is the Egret for sure. Maybe it's my cheap 23" monitor but the first photo looks slightly over sharpened.

Great-looking colors Bob. The Egret is particularly fetching.

I can see why you're plenty happy with the 40-150 and TC, those images are great.
