Default Butterflies 60mm Macro

Here are some butterfly shots taken with the 60mm f2.8 Macro lens at the Butterfly House at Melbourne Zoo. Have not done much macro photography at all and it's something I would like to do a lot more of.
The Butterfly House is a great place for shooting butterflies as you can get so close to them.

My favorite is #3 and i like the small bug behind the butterfly on #4.

How far you were of the subject for those shots?

Splendid shots for sure. The last one is likely my fave.

Thanks Marcelo. Distance from butterflies was around 10 to 6" deepening on the shot basically tried to get close enough without scaring them to fill the frame, none of these images have been cropped.

...excellent MACRO Tom.

BTW a 10 or 16 mm TUBE on the 40-150 PRO is a very good combination too.

Excellent shots! I'm jealous as I don't think I have any butterfly shots that are as good as those.

(We have an excellent zoo here, but it does not have a butterfly house. That is neat that your zoo has one. )

Thanks Bob, Had a set of Kenko extension tubes when I had my Canon gear very handy. Which brand did you buy Bob? The Kenko ones are very expensive for m43 and will get a Chinese set off eBay. Looked at the JJC brand which are reasonably priced, have purchased there lens hoods before which are a lot cheaper than the genuine ones and exactly the same.
