Default New Sigma 30mm f1.4 for $339

Well Sigma has announced it will be releasing a new 30mm f1.4 art lens for Sony and MFT mounts, surprisingly the price is lower than originally rumored at $339 pre-order at BH!

Looks like an interesting new option and given the price great for those wishing to be a little longer than the PL 25mm f1.4. I had at one point the Sigma 30mm f2.8 mk I and it was a fun lens, with quick focus and pretty sharp, but as usual my GAS led me to sell it for something else.

So what do people think is this something you'd get?

Wouldn't be for me. I've got a crush on my Panny/Leica f1.4, 25mm. I see there is no manual focus option on the Sigma.

It'll be a nice alternative to that PL lens though. 1.4 for the masses.

Right now I'm pretty filled up in that middle range--20mm, 25, 45. 30mm would be pretty close to those old 57-58 mm lenses though and people have really nice things to say about those sigmas too.

I am looking forward to when oly releases the rumored 1.2 primes, then the 1.8s will be for the masses!
