Thanks John,
It is a Divi tree and grows in this twisted fashion due to the constant trade winds on the island of Aruba.


Here is one more from the set, also at 14mm but a slightly different composition from a higher vantage point.

I like the first one better, but at the same time think the second one would be just lovely cropped a bit tighter height-wise (cropping out some sky and taking way some of the "headroom" from over the tree).

I think the sail boat gives a nice depth to the image, I prefer this one over the other although they are both very nice.

Excellent shot well done, great composition and I really like the contrast with the darkness of the leaves while still having detail in the tree trunk and the brightness of the sand. The lighting in the sunset in the spectacular with some grey clouds and the sailing boat is in the perfect position with the setting sun lighting it up.
