Default One Spot, Two Stadiums...

Early Sunday morning before most anyone was on the road, with the E-M1 Mark II and 12-100mm f4..

Home stadium for the Texas Rangers in front of me...

Cowboys Stadium to the right..boy, the more I use this 12-100, the more I love it.

And a little art work in-between..

Then the real show, courtesy of Bob Brennan, an official photog for the Car show happening in the park between the two stadiums. Quite a nice morning. Thank you Bob.

A few captured with the 7-14mm f2.8 M. Zuiko as well..

Nice shots Greg, that 12-100 f4 is looking like a great walkaround lens, Great car shots as well.

Yes it was, a great morning and thank you so much for coming Greg.

I took a great position for the awards ceremony and photo'd every winner as it came across the viewing apron. Here they are => http://tinyurl.com/m8bzz4e

I got home @ 1700 .. really tired but such a fun day.

The first car across the stage .. Few dusted or wiped their cars before parade; most of what looks like 'image noise' is actually dust.

That's a beauty alright!

I ordered the grip for the E-M1 Mark II and two extra batteries after the show. That morning was the first full-cycle for my one battery. I had 185 actual images, but you can add another probably 20-30 that I captured and subsequently deleted, lots of reviewing plus a lot of menu-diving as I'm still toying with the settings, but I'll definitely want multiple batteries for the upcoming White Sands trip. Already have the high capacity 64GB Sandisk UHS-II card inside, with a 32 GB "regular" Sandisk in the second slot as a backup, so I'm ready for capturing a few frames at one time.

Should I eventually do what I want and buy the MK-II I will certainly at the same purchase do the grip and at least 1 extra battery.

So I reckon .. EM-1 II + Grip + battery & maybe 12-100 = near $4K and I would do that at Arlington Camera; would make a good day for Gil.

I need to get new hearing aids this year too ... near $7k.

Now I'm wondering if Walmart is paying $15/hr for 'HELLO' greeter........... lol.

Talk with you later .... it was great seeing you again and you look terrific @ 32/32.

Have you guys ever ordered anything on the Olympus website? I logged in there the other day and discovered that I had like 2500 "points" from making a few purchases and filling out a survey and some things like that. End result was that I had like $50 in credit that I used to get a battery.

Yeah I got 1000 from answering some survey, then 1000 more for opening some email they sent me, then like 500 more from something or another, haha.

Seemed weird but I'll take it.

I know I have points, I'm just not sure how many. OK, just checked....4556. I'll usually go to B&H and save the sales tax on larger purchases, and Olympus isn't usually as fast as B&H when it comes to getting something out the door.

Speaking of which, the E-M1 Mark II grip arrived today. Boy....nice...Having the second four way controller for AF point selection in vertical shooting mode is really nice, leaving the two FN buttons available for programming something else.

That does sound neat. Like a direction pad, I guess?
