I used to own a Sony P-95 point & shoot camera with 3X zoom. It used to give me very 'crisp' & 'sharp' images. I currently own an Olympus C770-UZ camera. When I use this in the AUTO mode with the 'best picture quality' the pictures I get are far from sharp. Am I doing something wrong? What do i need to do to get sharper images?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Congrats for your camera. This is very good (probably the best of) Olympus 10x zoom cameras.
I own C740UZ and shoot mostly in P mode. Try it. Try also spot metering and spot focus. After you get more familiar with your camera try Manual shooting mode. You have also manual focus.
Download the Referece Manual from Oly web site. It is more than 200 pages and has most of the info you need.
