Per Olympus, the 550 can shoot video up to the capacity of your card. So more like about 8 1/2 minutes for a 1GB card at 16mbps.

Hi, Have only had mine a couple of days, but did test this for you,



On mine it ran the video for minutes before i stopped the test, In the bottom right hand corner there was a timer counting down, and can confirm that it will run the video setting until the card is full....

You need to have the faster "H" type card toget the longer videos. From what I have heard, the "M" type card can't handle the longer videos.

Mine is 1Gb 'H' So sorry cannot comment on 'M',

I can obviously confirm the 'H' Type work fine.
