Default Disappointment with Olympus C740UZ

Paid almost $1000 AUD for it get set up full of excitment and go outside in sunny Bondi Beach Australia and can't see a damned thing either through the viewfinder of LCD. Are Olympus not aware that some people live in sunny climes. Can't spend my time pointing and hoping so it looks like a dept of fair trading job

I believe you posted them in more than one forum-- the replies will appear only in the forum that people responded to. It's usually a good idea to pick only one forum and post it there. Give the Olympus forum a try...

I cup my opposite hand (my left for me) around the top of my C-730 when I shoot on a sunny day, It helps a lot to see the viewfinder in bright light.

Hey! I like my C-740. It does not disappoint.
It just needs a little pampering every now and then.

(And I just purchased it last Saturday... :lol

I live in Sun City of El Paso, TX. I wear a broad brim hat that helps shade the EVF.

Mike your right. Golfing is great in this city. We are in best time of year with day time highs in the low 80's and the evenings in the upper 50's.
