Steve comments here on the High Speed H XD cards

Recently Olympus has released a faster, type "H" xD-Picture Card. Using the newer 512MB "H" xD card, our performance timings didn't change much at all. The only areas in which I saw any improvement was when transferring images to my PC and the amount of time it takes the camera to clear its buffer.

Jorgen, thanks for the reply, I had not read that.

I use an H XD card, and was hoping there was a "sandisk type ultra out there" that I was not aware of..... :-)

There are 3 types of xD-cards

1) "old standard"

2) M (up to 2 GB)

3) H (up to 2 GB) .... 2 GB=Fuji

all are "very slow" :?
