Default 3040z lense not extending

I have an Olympus 3040z. I have had it for about 10 months and it has worked flawlessly, the picture quality is superb and I have been extremely happy with it up until today. I took a couple pics 3 days ago, and i went to take a few more this afternoon and when I turn it on, the lense wont extend. It is doing the same thing as if I turned the camera on with the lense cap on. I have done that a few times by accident but no more than 5 or 6 times. Does anyone know what may have happened to it, and is this something that i might be able to rememdy myself. I am kicking myself for not getting the extra warranty that Circuit City sells. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 3020 has had a few wobblers. Sorted by taking the batteries out for a few minutes. If you haven't already tried this you've nowt to lose.

Thanks for the info, I tried the battery thing and no luck, so i guess i will be sending it back to olympus. I called Circuit City where I bought the camera and the said that they could send it back for me. Would you go this route or would you send it to them directly. I have to go there to get my receipt, seems that i lost it when i moved. So I figured that i might as well just get them to send it for me. what do you think?
