Default SLR lens equivalent?

Is the 10x zoom on the 750-D equal to a 350 mm zoom on a SLR? How does one equate these numbers?

380mm anyway. 35mm equivalents are used so there's a common reference for digital cameras...the actual focal lengths are dependent on the size of the CCD.

For instance, both the C-750 and C-700 are 38-380mm in 35mm equivalents, but the actual focal length of the C-750 is 6.3-63mm and the C-700's focal length is 5.9-59mm due to the difference in CCD size...if it wasn't for the 35mm equivalents it would be comparing apples to oranges.
