I have been using the Olympus family of cameras for the last 8 years or so... starting from the basic ones to fairly advanced ones (not the DSLR ones though). Somehow the color reproduction seems to be lower than average in the SP570UZ. My C-725UZ seems to "see" the colors much better than the SP 570 UZ. I have tried various settings on the Guide. Various Exposures. Taken about 500 snaps with the SP 570 UZ. But personally - I think this one aspect negates all other features available - even the ultra zoom. Disappointed.

i've only used olympus fe170 and sp-550, and using only 2 olympus cameras probably isnt enough to judge all their products. havins said that and checking tons of sample images from almost all of their fe/sp line of products. i believe olympus sensors have a weird dislike against color red.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"what i am saying is not a minor issue, nothing to do with white balance or anything. it becomes more and more obvious with artificialy lit environments where its less evident in natural conditions say taking nature pictures outside during a bright day.

good thing is it is easy to fix the problem with some post processing and also not a major issue outdoors with natural light.
