Hello....my new SP565 arrived on Friday so I played with it a bit over the weekend. Below are links to a few of the photos I've taken. The dog and flower photos were taken with the camera set to full auto and normal jpg compression. The one of my dog had the camera in macro mode. The closeup of the flowers was taken from about 6 feet away and I just zoomed in (too many bees to try macro...the plant was just humming with them  ).

The night shots were taken on a tripod with the camera in manual mode. I used the timer to trip the shutter. The darker photo is close to how the sky looked with the unaided eye and was shot at ISO 1600, F2.8 for 6 seconds. The lighter photo was shot at ISO 3200, F2.8 for 15 seconds. I also played around a bit with ISO 6400, but sky glow from the neighborhoods numerous lights caused the sky to wash out the stars. The night shots had digital noise reduction turned on. (All images were resized to enable ease of viewing).
