Default 550 vs 520 flash recycle time

Has anyone seen specs regarding comparisons of flash recycle times on the 550 vs the 520?

I currently own the 520 and am very pleased with it, however the seemingly lengthy flash recycle time (even with fresh batteries) is quite limiting for me.

I was wandering if the fact that the 550 had 4 AA's made any difference on the recycle time of the flash?

Thanks for the reply.

Actually I looked at my Rayovac AA's and noted that they are 1600 mah.

Would that make much difference compared to 1700 or 1800?

What is a good source of the higher mah if they do make a difference?

Try this link, these are real battery people. Bigger the number longer they last. Lag between shots you have is the same when batteries are fully charged its just the camera doing its thing, when you look at how small flashtube is and the bang it puts out, then if you are in the lazy mode (auto) its going to figure the settings and focus also.
Good shooting,
Gary

Default Flash recharge time

I own a Olympus D-550 Z (C-300 Z actually), and after taking a shot with a flash I am able to take the next shot with flash about 5 seconds later. I am using 4 NiMh 1800 mAh rechargeable batteries which are approximately half or near empty (I've taken more than 100 shots with it, about 20 with flash).
I know officialy Olympus has said that the recharge time is about 8 seconds, but in real use it's much shorter. So I'm happy with this fact.
