Default C-750 External Flash

Will I be able to use my old T32 flash (from my OM2/OM10) with the C-750. I downloaded the manual and there is a list of restrictions about the flashguns. I also have a Vivitar 283, any ideas?

Just re-read the blurb in the camera review section and it looks like the only off camera flashes supported are (TTL for FL-40 and FL-20). Suzan

These flashes (especially the Vivitar) are unsafe to use with digital cameras...the trigger voltage (the voltage on the contacts that connect with the camera) are too high. Olympus (and most other digicam manufacturers) recommend 6v or less...the T32 is as high as 11.3 volts, and the Vivitar 283 averages around 200 volts and some have been measured as high as 600 volts!!!

Can anyone recommend a non Olympus brand external flash that is comparable to the FL-40 at a lower price.

Right now you can get an FL-40 refurbished for a lot cheaper at Olympus (America) Emporium.
