Default Olympus c740 vs Minolta Z1 vs FujiS5000?

Which would be the best investment for the money? Looking to take pictures of scenery, people, and sports.
Thanks

i looked at all three, and also the c-750 and the Kodak 6490.

The Minolta was too much like a plastic toy for my liking, the Fuji seemed OK, but several people i talked with face to face who are professionals tought the Fuji "ok" but "not near the camera as the 740". If you like the 740, i would suggest looking at the 750 if you trust buying online. I got mine from a site listed on this website as having a good price, but only AFTER seeing if the site had a good reputation.

I have owned or used the 740 and S5000 and prefer the S5000. I also have used the 750 which is better than the 740 or 5000 but also about $100 more.

I have the C-740 and C-750 and have previously had the S5000 and Z1. The Z1 was plasticy, took good images but the switch broke. The S5000 was okay but suffered from noisey images and they had a blue tint.

As for the C-740 and C-750 I still have them both, to view images taken on these cameras go to www.kevin-bates.co.uk

Merry Xmas
