Default New SP-800ZU user

I'm going for something different here. I go to some Nascar races each year and have been using a Kodak camera for the last few years. I'm going to Charlotte this weekend for the races and decided to get a new camera for the races. I decided to go with the SP-800ZU because of the zoom. But my question is what would be the best setting to put the camera on to take shots at night at a speedway. I never did figure out what worked best on my old Kodak camera and with this new one I have no idea where to even start
Thanks for any help anyone can give me here.

Hi black2002ws6. I can't give you the technical help you have asked for, but I believe you would get better help if you posted to the 'Sport' forum and put a different title on you post - something like 'Help needed for shooting car races'. Unfortunately not many (maybe a handful) of members use the Olympus SP Ultra Zooms so your title might have been the problem with getting a response.

Better luck next time.
