Default Camedia Software

I recently purchased the C-750 and saved my .jpg images using my exsisting Camedia 2.5 software. The files sizes were about 600-800KB in SHQ (2288x1712)

Then I installed the new version Camedia Master 4.1 and now the files are much larger - about 1.9 to 2.5KB

Why is there such a difference in file size and what is recommended when saving SHQ?

I had fits when I deleted 2.5 and replaced it with 4.1. It drove me nuts for a few days then I upgraded to 256k of RAM. This is on my WORK computer. At home I bought a new P4 with 512k or RAM and hyperthreading. There's no longer a slowdown. That said I still prefer 2.5.
What you mention sounds like the new version is not compressing the files as much, which could be good for maintainnig quality (if that was the intent. It could also mean Camedia is taggingeach file with a bunch more peripheral info.
