Default Auto setting on Oly 750

If I set my 750 to Auto, then point it at the sky, on a bright day, quite often it will display a shutter speed of 1/1000, and an aperture of 3.5....in red with an up arrow.

Why is it not trying F8 before it tells me I am wrong?

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Andf there I was giving you advice. However, in my defence, I quote myself

"The oly 750 is a complex camera, although you can use it full auto. It is easy to find yourself "in the wrong place" because you forgot one aspect <G>. but once you have stopped exploring the "world" of the cameras so much and setled down to commin ujsage, it is not so bad. "

My case rests <G>
