Default C-5060 Focusing

I have a C-5060 and noticed the camera cannot lock focus (in most cases) when shooting at the widest lens setting. If I zoom one or two step the camera aquires focus. The subject is not too close and this happens shooting landscape pictures. I'm thinking there is a problem with my camera. Any thoughts on this issue will be greatly appreciated, especially feedback from other C-5060 users.

Thanks!

Hi!

I did not encounter your kind of "trouble" to date.

The only thing that bugged me so far about focusing with the C5060WZ was in super macro mode. It seems that my 5060 can automatically focus up to 1" from the subject, but only up to 1.2" when I try to do it manually.

I have the camera and have not run into this problem any more than I might expect with any P&S digital.
I'd reccommend that you use manual focus in these cases if you have difficulty.

Hello.

I think a quick fix to your problem would be to set your mode dial to the mountain icon. That sets the camera up to take landscapes and focusing should not be an issue.

JHW, take a look at pages 95-96, on the CD manual. See if that helps you out?
Cheers,

Pepe.
