Default Olmypus C-3000 TV Connection

How do you get images to display on TV?
All I get is a very dark image. Everything else on the camera works great.

(not a C3000 user here, but)

First you have to make sure that you plug in the yellow cable into the video socket of the TV/VCR. Second, make sure you plug in the connector properly into the camera (it's very easy to have it only go in half way). Third, are you sure that your camera operates on the same television system as your video equipment (NTSC (NAmerica, Japan), PAL (rest of world), you might not have a camera that operates on your system if it's a grey market import, there's also SECAM but I don't believe the camera is available in that format anyway). And finally, you have to make sure the camera is in Play mode, and you have enough battery power in the camera to power the video interface.

With my C-4000 the pics look dark on the Television.

I have no idea why. Maybe change the brightness of the "LCD" and see if that helps.

Everything looks brighter on the internal monitor. The photos on the PC look similar to the internal LCD as well.

Design fault? I don't have enough experience yet to make a better assessment.

At least you know it looks like a "feature".
