Default Olympus C50 experiences

I would like to change some informations, experiences, ...

I have my camera for 1 year and I have no big problems. Pictures are excelent at the daylight. Sometimes my pictures are not focused. Also red eyes, only in the room with "yellow" light. But I recommend. Look at my pictures Iīve made with my camera.

I bought one when it first came out and carried it everywhere for 2 years. It was the best pocket 5Mp camera available at the time I bought it. I would have gotten the Pentax 550 had it been available. I always shoot with minimum contrast and sharpening for post processing, so the images donít come from the camera looking great. But they do well after a trip through Photoshop.

I was never really thrilled with the camera, but it is competent. I tend to agree with these comparisons: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pent...550/page13.asp

My daughter will now get the camera since I recently replaced it with a Pentax S4. It wasnít replaced because it wasnít doing the job, it just got too large once I added a Palm Tungsten to my cellphone and camera as carry-everywhere equipment. The S4 takes larger JPG files in Mb with a much higher JPG compression quality than the C50. The S4 pictures seem a little sharper except for the corners, although 4Mp isnít really enough for a good 13 X 19 print.

You get red-eye using any small camera with the flash near the lens.
