I use a plastic clamp-on Hama M55; its two best features are the quick install/remove of the clamp, and the fact that the oblong shape produces no vignetting at wide angles. I have another screw-on round hood that works okay once you get into telephoto a bit, but there is some vignetting at maximum wide angle,

I don't know if it matters too much. I bought one of those folding Hoya's and I have to be careful because in two positions it will vignet at full wide. Sometimes it just barely vignets and you don't see it in the viewfinder, but then later you are disappointed because all the photos have black corners. You might look at some of those rigid four eared types that resist vignetting.

Perhaps a wide-angle hood or one of those rectangular ones would be the simple solution.
