Default what is a good replacement for 2020C that i love

I have had a 2020C for a few years and find nothing that i don't love about the camera. I got sand in the zoom and its sticking, so iwould like to replace it with one just about like it only more resolution...which of the newer olympus cameras is the most like the 2020C in quality of lens and how well it works in dark places and a fast shutter with no lag?
the 5050 or the 5060 or the 8080 or the 4040z or whatever/

THANKS

Default more on the replacemetn of the 2020C

I would like to have a stop action choice on the camera too
Did they add that to any of the olympus cameras?

If you like your 2020 you'll be pleased with any of Oly's newer models. Starting with the 4040 the user interface was much improved, and the 4040 and 5050 have an f1.8 lens. Whatever you decide, keep your 2020 though in case you ever want to do IR photography. The newer models block IR much more effectively than the 2020.

IR is infra red. I got a 5050 a couple of months ago and I love it but that's a personal thing. Good shopping. 8)

I'm biased toward the Olympus C5060 which I've learned to really like. (Had mine since December) Having nothing to compare to I now go with the reviews. Early reviews complain about lense performance in terms of speed but all major publications are coming out with reviews now and all rate it very highly. It's referred to as High end amateur, backup pro camera. It's very vesatile and takes SUPER pictures.

Default more on the 5060

how are the shots in darker places, like a darker room in the house or a big room?

With a couple cameras I tried, nikon 2100, and Pwer shot A70 , it will not focus fast without good light and take the picture without thinking forever about it . also if it has Bright lights adn dakr spots in the photo it is trying to focus and makes it slow

and my old olumpus 2020 didnt do that in the darker places or big gymnasiums etc.....so if the 5060 doesnt, i'd love it.

how are the red eyes.......i had to fix them with my 2020, but thats ok....jsut curious if its the same.
