Default battery

On the website, it shows that the olympus c-760 can use only rechargable li-ion batteries. Can this camera use alkaline batteries.

It will be very costly to buy extra li-ion batteries.

Yes it would in the short run, but it would also be very cheap in the long run. Li-ion holds much more energy and you will only have one pay out...

Go for the Li-Ion batteries.

I am going to buy one extra set of rechargable li-ion battery but in case of emergency, alkaline batteries, I can buy anywhere for temporary use. So just wanted to know if the camera uses li-ion battery, can it also use alkaline battery.
