Default C-60 & monitor shut off

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and fairly new to digital cameras. Anyway, I've just recently purchased the C-60 Zoom and so far I like the camera. My question is how to turn the monitor off in Auto mode. From the book, it looks like it's available in Auto, but when I go to the menu, the monitor off option is not available there. Anyway, if anyone else has figured it out I'd appreicate knowing. Thanks for any input.

Not familiar with this camera, but usually Olys have in the menu a section called SETup...in there there's an option called SLEEP...try increasing the time of that. Usually the monitor shutting off is half of the time that the sleep setting is set to.
