What shutter speed and f-stop are you using? The auto and program modes usually pick a fairly slow shutter speed where even the slightest motion can cause blurring. Try using manual settings and either use the timer or the remote.

Here's a cropped version of mine from a couple of nights ago,but it doesn't compare to the excellent TCON shot.

If your exposure is longer than a few seconds, you will get blur due to movement of the Earth. (rotation)

That shot is definitely a focus problem.

these are the exif info. I guess my camera has either has a focus problem at 10x or it could be the haze here in Manila as suggested by SteveB. I'll post later a 10x image of an outdoor shot.

Either yourEXIF data has a lot of extraneous information or mine is missing a bunch. If you do have a focus problem, it should show up in normal daytime shots too. Have you tried any of those?

I think it's defintely a focus problem as others have noted. I took about 20 shots with my 730UZ with someusing 3X digital zoom and although most were out of focus some weren't. Here's an example of a hand held shot with 30x combined digital and optical zoom (1/1000sec, ASO100, f8.0). With 30x total zoom it's not easy to even get the moon on the screen and keep it there.
