I'm new to digital cameras so I need a little advice.
I will soon be buying a C-8080 and realize I will need a lot more than 32mb of storage. I see a 512 CF card for $80 at Amazon and a 512 XD card at Buydig for $199.
So other than the panorama factor, how can you justify an additional $119 for the xd over the cf? What are you getting for the money? Is the xd gong to write that much faster? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi Wayne,

Welcome to the forum

Go Sandisk 512MBUltra II Compact Flash.

You can find it for a little over a $100 in lots of places.

You can't go wrong.

If you truly want the ability to do panorama, then there is lots of software out there that can do that for you.

Thanks for the advice! I'm not worried about panaorama - just don't want the camera write speed held up by a slow card.

As said, geta CF or microdrive.XD cards are a lot more expensive and other than panorama they don't offer any advantage.
