I was under the 'impression' that someone made a replacement battery holder compatible with the C5060 & C8080 cameras that would allow the user to use conventional batteries. The only thing that I have been able to find is a remote battery. Am I missing something?

I've seen 3rd-party replacement batteries for the 5060, but they were not a holder for "conventional" batteries.

I've been using my 5060 since March and am extremely happy with the battery capacity. I regularly shoot live music shows for upwards of 4 hours with flash and lcd screen lit and have yet to run out of capacity. Charges fast, too.

I was kind of wondering why you would want to look for such adapter. I have been very impressed with the 8080 lithium battery performance. They are very light and I have a backup always charged and ready to go. For field trips, I may want a 3rd but I have nothin planned for the moment. I am pleased to get away from the AA battery scene for a while!:-)
