there is a rumor about the Olympud OM series returning ??????????????????????

If they release this at ~2k, they will kill the Nikon D100!

I doubt it, if it's only rated @ 5M pixels. People still want the Canon/Nikon lens mount... It all depends what you can get in this 4/3 mount or may be for cost reason only, but then you still have to live with the weight penalty over the EVF cameras!

It's a double edge sword: Folks that love shooting long actually benefit from the 1.x factor in non-full frame camera...

i think that the 1.x factor advantage mentality will pass when image quality demonstrated to be higher. maybe not the sports people but the art/quality types.
