Default batch re-sizing using Camedia

Does anyone know who to batch re-size photos using Camedia Master? I just took approx. 100 photos in HQ mode (they are each approx 1meg in size) and I want to resize them to 640X480 but they only way I can do it is 1 at a time...not very efficient..

I have also used MGI Photosuite and I also have to do each photo individually.
Thanks for your help,
MG

I use irfanview to to batch resizes, as well as renames. I'll rename them first, and always keep the originals. Then I do a batch resize on the ones I just renamed.

You can download it for free at www.irfanview.com I also downloaded the plugin extras for it too. Its a very versitle program, and its free :P

Irfanview does a better job of resampling than Camedia does of resizing.

I have to say that I tossed Camedia in the bin as Windows XP has the best resizing I have seen yet.

If you have XP, there is a free addon called Powertools, one of which is an image resizer. All you do then is click on a photo or group of photos and select resize...and the result it perfect. There is also a slideshow wizzard which I have found very useful for putting pics on CD and sendind to family and friends.

Cam, where do I get Powertools for my Win XP? It sounds great, but I never heard about it. Jeff

I just went to Micro$oft$ website and did a search for "powertools" and it gave me this URL:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp

Down the right-hand side of the screen should be links to all the different powertools you can download. Image Resizer is one of them.

Let me know how you get along with it.

Default Try Digital Photo Slide Show...

...it has a utility for exactly what you want. Digital Photo Slide Show also allows you to burn a Slide Show of your pics onto a CD, and put an autorun program on it. You make a CD, give it to anyone with a PC compatible CD, and the slideshow runs automatically.

Hey, Cam, thanks for the info on Powertools for XP. I took a quick look, and, when I get the time, I'm going to download the two that you have. Thanks again. Jeff
