Ihave not had the C-765 for long butI have owned several digital cameras, including a Fuji S5000 and so have a fair idea of what to expect from a DC.

I have put my initial observations up on my web site andhope that the page helps anyone who is thinking about buying this model.

Thanks Joe,

I want to go back and do the same test again using the higher quality SHQ mode,I will then print them to see how the digital zoomeffects print quality. I suspect that on this camera SOME digital zoom can be used to good effect, without degrading the print quality too much.

I have now completed a test using 3 JPEGshooting modes and then printing out to 7" x 5" prints, I have updated my site with the results.

Great review there norm. I just got my C-765 ultraand agree with you about the digital zoom, quality is impressive. Another thing I can say is the overallphoto quality is excellent and for the money I paid for the camera was well worth it. I found a great review about the camera which even says that overall photo quality is better than the A-770 http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ol..._770uz-review/

The only thing I need now is to get an extra battery for the camera just to be safe.
