I'm confused as to the purpose of this postin the Olympus Forum. This is a portable storage device that doesn't even support xD Picturecard (used by newer Olympus models), and also uses a slow USB 1.1 interface to a PC (most newer models support USB 2.0)

I didn't realize you were looking for a storage device (you didn't say why you were posting the link).

From your previous posts, it appears you have a C-8080WZWhat kind of cards do you use?

Most of the portable storage models require an adapter for Xd Picturecard (but these are available). If you are using CompactFlash, then you don't need an adapter with most of them.

Here is one example:

Here is a vendor (you can buy it with different size hard disk drives already installed):

http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/s.n...ategory.133/.f

Here is an adapter (if you are using XD PictureCards)

http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/s.n.../it.A/id.83/.f

Here is an example of a storage device that can burn to CD (does not use a built in hard disk drive):

Here is a newer device that can burn to either CD or DVD (versus using a hard disk drive):

The above products will require an Xd PictureCard to CompactFlash adapter if you are using Xd PictureCards.

You may also need to buy a different power adapter for use overseas.
