Default C2100 Win98 USB Driver????

HELP!
I recently had to reformat my computer from WinXP back to Win98 for various reasons.

My problem is that whilst all our stuff in in shipping overseas, I forgot to keep the Camedia CD. I have Camedia 2.5 on my hard drive but it is only the Camedia program.

My problem is that whilst I can load Camedia, and Win98 sees a "new" usb device, I do not have the driver file required to make it all work.

I looked on the Olympus website but it didn't have what I needed.

Can anyone help me please!!!

I suggest you purchase a USB card reader
Which is fast and very convenient, (no need to plug camera to computer).

I couldn't find a c-2100uz disc around here but I did find the one for the c-700 which should be the same driver. So try this:

Thanks, Steve, but unfortunately it didn't work...the computer is looking for something with the 2100 lable on it :-(

Anyhow, I leave Russia tomorrow and will be back home in Australia (after 5 years!!) so I just flat ran out of time. I am dissapointed I shipped the wrong CD. None the less, I have all the pics on my card so I should be safe until Friday when I can download.

I like the new forum, by the way, I guess it came online in the last couple of weeks when I have been offline. Shame all our user info and old posts couldn't be saved.

grrr. All of a sudden my camedia program doesn't want to behave! I have the disk 2.0, and upgraded to 2.01, and that was working fine in xp for me for quite a while, and now NO not anymore. I get confused with this stuff. It is asking me to find the usb driver file, which I can't understand where it would be. would getting camedia 2.5 help, or should i just get a card reader to solve the problem? Sorry I'm no help, Cam... I'm just stressed out like you are/were.

Default UZI USB Drivers

USB drivers for WIN9.X & WINNT are available on
Oly website. Try:
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/
cpg_downloads.asp?Category=Digital+Camera&Product= 641&OS=Win

(note: In general, WIN2000 drivers work with
XP as XP is WINNT variant)

Try attached WIN2000 USB driver downloaded from
Oly

PS: 1st time on any forum.

Default Bought a card reader.

OK, so after all the fuss in Russia I have arrived back in Australia and one of the first things I did is went and bought myself a very basic card reader.

Anyhow, for USD14-00 it was totally worth it and now I don't even bother with the Camedia program.

My problem is now solved.
