Default 720

I'm going to take a guess that the 720 won't be that much different in terms of image quality than the 700. I know that Olympus fans would MUCH rather have seen the 2100uz updated, rather than the 700.

From the same general specs you've seen, it seems all they've done is up the megapixels a bit (3 instead of 2, and just barely 3, too), and lowered the zoom from 10X to 8X. Without image stabilization however, that may be a good thing.

Now, Olympus.. about a new 4100uz maybe??? ;-)

The 720 will be a 3.3 MP camera. It should have great quality but no IS. It gives the camera just the right size for many people.

A 4100z would be great, but I think the SLR coming from Olympus will be their focus and direction for a while.

How does the D-720 compare with the C-3040. There is a ton of info out there on the C-3040 and none on the D-720. I couldn't even find it on Olympus's website.

The 720 only has an 8x zoom but with 3mp's it'll probably bring things in just about as close if not closer?
P.S. Anybody know this little fella that keeps following me around?

Ok, I have been asking around. Someone tell me if what I am being told is correct.

The difference (main) is the C-3040 is a better low light picture taker and the C-720 has a better zoom on it.

You'll find a link to the C-720 Zoom on our Olympus cameras page
